3 Silver Spring College Students Inducted Into Phi Beta Kappa

ST. MARYS CITY, MD — Three Silver Spring students were inducted into Phi Beta Kappa's Zeta Chapter of Maryland on March 31, at St. Mary's College of Maryland, according to a release from Merit News.

Silver Spring natives Kyra Feinauer, Melinda Huynh and Mary Purtilo were among the 25 St. Mary's College students inducted into the nation's oldest academic honor society. In all, 22 seniors and three juniors were inducted into Phi Beta Kappa

One member of the St. Mary's College faculty — Asif Ud Dowla — was inducted as an honorary member during the ceremony, which took place at the reconstructed State House of 1676 in Historic St. Mary's City.
