5 Things You Need to Know Today: May 12

What five things do you need to know to stay up-to-date about what’s going on in the community? Well, Patch has you covered  on this Thursday morning!

1. We are on a roll this week with sunny skies! It will be mostly sunny throughout the day with a Hi near 74 degrees. Into the evening there will be a 20 percent chance of rains, with a Lo around 57 degrees.

2. Interested in learning how to speedskate? Take up a new sport with the  Potomac Speedskating Club. They welcome skaters ages five up to an adult age and can work with novices to those with prior hockey, figure skating or inline skating experience. They meet this Thursday, May 12 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

3. Coming up in Patch, Radio-One  is moving to Silver Spring. They program 5  Washington, D.C. stations including WOL 1450 AM, WKYS 93.9 FM, 102.3 FM, Praise 104.1, and Spirit 1340 AM.
