Happy Monday, Silver Spring! Here are five things you need to know as you start your day.

Good morning! What five things do you need to know to stay up-to-date about what’s going on in the community? Patch has you covered this Monday:

1. There's a chance of showers and thunderstorms before 2 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. A high of 78 degrees is expected today. Showers are expected to continue into the evening with a low around 67 degrees.

2. Police are looking for information related to the death of a Woodbridge woman who was killed in a car crash on Sunday on Tech Road and Route 29.

3. is seeking a development tracker. The person would be responsible for creating a map that includes all the public and private sector projects in the Silver Spring area. Duties would include identifying online resources that may have some of the information, driving around and taking photographs, and verifying and documenting the signs identifying development.
