Armed Men Chase, Shoot At Man In Downtown Silver Spring
Montgomery County Police officers are searching for two suspects who allegedly fired shots in downtown Silver Spring.

SILVER SPRING, MD — Police are searching for two men who allegedly chased a man and fired gunshots in downtown Silver Spring earlier this month. No gunshot victims have been reported in the case, Montgomery County Police said.
Several witnesses told police they saw the two men, one of whom was wearing a white shirt and armed with a handgun, chasing another man on Mayor Lane toward Silver Spring Avenue. Witnesses said the man with the gun fired multiple rounds at the fleeing man.
The suspects were last seen on foot in the area of Mayor Lane toward Thayer Avenue, police said.

Officers located two spent shell casings in the area.
Officers did not locate or identify the man who was fleeing from the suspects.

Anyone with information regarding this shooting or the suspects is asked to call the 3rd District Investigative Section at 240-773-6870. Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest in this case.
