Car Crashes Into Mosque, Injures 2 In Silver Spring

Two people were injured after a car crashed into the Baitur Rehman Mosque in Silver Spring, officials said.

SILVER SPRING, MD — Two people were hurt after a car crashed into a mosque in Silver Spring Sunday, officials said.

The car crashed into the Baitur Rehman Mosque at 15000 Good Hope Rd. at about 7:15 p.m.

Two people were trapped after the car rolled over against the building, Montgomery County Fire & Rescue spokesperson Pete Piringer said.

Officials had to extricate the victims from the car, Piringer said.

The victims were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. One victim was taken to the trauma unit, Piringer said.
