This new chapter not only allows her to share her love for food and community, but also provides the opportunity to connect with a significant Nigerian population in the area, a sentiment Oyeniya deeply cherishes, given her Nigerian heritage,” Chick-fil-A said.

In celebration of the reopening, Chick-fil-A has donated $25,000 to Feeding America to support local hunger relief efforts of the Capital Area Food Bank, a Feeding America partner food bank, in honor of the restaurant. Oyeniya’s restaurant is participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table program, an initiative that redirects surplus food from the restaurant to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits in need.

"Giving back to the Silver Spring community by partnering with local schools and making a real difference is a driving force for me," Oyeniya said. "I am confident, alongside my team, that our guests, both familiar and new, will adore the newly renovated restaurant, and I'm thrilled to build lasting relationships with them."
