COVID-19 In Montgomery Co: 254 Cases, 6 Deaths Reported Overnight
Since its outbreak emerged in March, Montgomery County has reported 34,159 COVID-19 infections and 924 deaths.

SILVER SPRING, MD — Montgomery County reported 254 new cases and six new deaths tied to COVID-19 on Wednesday, according to the Maryland Department of Health.
For Maryland's most populous jurisdiction, that brings the total number of infections to 34,159 and the total number of deaths to 924 since March.
The latest fatality count does not include the 42 others whose deaths were linked to the virus, but never confirmed by a lab test. For now, they are considered "probable deaths."

The county — which is home to roughly 1 million residents — continues to have the highest number of deaths in the state. It also has the second highest number of confirmed cases, after Prince George's County, which has 42,190, according to the latest figures.
Statewide, there have been 203,355 cases, 4,558 confirmed deaths, and 157 "probable deaths." Of the 1,578 people currently being hospitalized, 359 are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
