- Hollywood Celebrity Lou Diamond Phillips came to Silver Spring to film a new series on Discovery's Military Channel. The space that belonged to the Latin restaurant Ceviche turned into a temporary studio to set up their working space.
- There may be more cuts to the Silver Spring and Long Branch Libraries. The County Council is set to hear testimony on the library budget on Wednesday, April 6 at 7 p.m. at Council offices located at 100 Maryland Ave., Rockville.
- Local Historian Jerry McCoy led a group of 20 people on two hour tour of downtown Silver Spring yesterday. The tour is set to show up on a short tv segment called Paths to the Present: Montgomery County Stories.
- Free movie screening at the Silver Spring Civic Center.The Montgomery County Coalition on End-of-Life Care and the Montgomery County Area Agency on Aging present Consider the Conversation.
- You can join the conversation with Safe Silver Spring's Tony Hauser at the Silver Spring Civic Center tonight at 7 p.m. They will be discussing The Eichmann Trial book with the distant cousin of the trial prosecutor, Gideon Hausner.
