Fire Displaces Family, Causes $250K In Damage In Silver Spring
A family is displaced from their Silver Spring home after a fire broke out in the chimney.
SILVER SPRING, MD — A family is displaced from their Silver Spring home after a fire broke out in their chimney Friday night, officials said.
The fire occurred at about 10:30 p.m. in the 1700 block of Highland Dr.
Authorities believe the fire was accidental. It started in the chimney and spread to the attic, Montgomery County Fire & Rescue spokesperson Pete Piringer said.
