Galleria Mall "Coming Soon" Sign Erected at Glenmont Shopping Center

A "Coming Soon" sign for the Glenmont Galleria Mall has been erected at the corner of Georgia Avenue and Layhill Rd, in front of the Glenmont Shopping Center.

According to the sign, the Glenmont Galleria will include more than 200,000 square feet of high-end retail, fine dining and entertainment.

Mall anchors include Bloomingdale's, Macy's, and Nordstrom. The Galleria will also have a bowling alley and indoor ski center.

The Glenmont Shopping Center was originally built in 1956 and has not been updated and modernized since. A 2022 petition by residents calling for site redevelopment received more than 1,300 signatures.

Glenmont Galleria is a join venture of Kingdom Holding Company (KHC) and Martin & Wurst, according to the new sign.
