BREAKING NEWS: A truck carrying clothes and shoes caught on fire at a gas station in Silver Spring Thursday morning, officials said.
SILVER SPRING, MD — A truck carrying clothes and shoes caught on fire at a gas station in Silver Spring Thursday morning, officials said.
The box truck was "well involved under the Exxon canopy," Montgomery County Fire & Rescue spokesperson Pete Piringer said.
The incident occurred on Old Columbia and Randolph Road at about 6:25 a.m.

The gas station is closed for business, Piringer said. No one was injured in the incident.
Some lanes were blocked along Randolph Road as crews responded to the fire.
