Where/When: Downtown Silver Spring (it starts at Veterans Plaza) between 10:00 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011. 

Why go: Bands, floats, dancers, clowns, beauty queens and animals will march through the streets of downtown.

2. WASHINGTON MUSICA VIVA-CHAMBER MUSIC

Where/When: Takoma Park Community Center, 7500 Maple Avenue from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 18, 2011. 

Why go: Come and enjoy Claude Bolling's Suite for violin plus jazz trio, and "Bukowski Liked Mozart" by Charley Gerard. 

Pricing: $15 for adults. It's free for children under 12.

3. CELEBRATE NATIVE PRIDE 

Where/When: Montgomery College Cultural Arts located at 7600 Takoma Avenue Center between 1 and 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011. 

Why go:  The dance features cultural costumes, storytelling, sacred songs and more.

Pricing:  $12 adults and $10 children and seniors.

4. JAPANESE DRUMMING

Where/When: Takoma Park Community Center Auditorium, 7500 Maple Avenue between 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011. 

Why go: Bring the family out to enjoy the Japanese cultural! If you like this they are also having a dancing workshop on December 3 on their facebook.

Where/When: Harry A. Putt Auditorium, located at 919 University Boulevard, West, at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2011 and Sunday, Nov. 19, 2011. 

Why go: The musical will feature popular music from the original movie and hit broadway musical.
