HoCo OAI and JCA are excited to tell you about the first FREE Virtual Employment Expo for ALL age 50+Jobseekers -Thursday, May 30th!

In response to President Biden's Older American Month Proclamation and Governor Wes Moore's EO, The Longevity-Ready Maryland Initiative: A Multisector Plan for Longevity, Ofelia Ross Ott, Administrator, Howard County Office on Aging and Independence (OAI) and her office, OAI, took the initiative to help Howard County's age 50+ jobseekers by partnering with Jewish Council for the Aging (JCA) to plan a FREE virtual employment expo for ALL age 50+ jobseekers.

OAI and JCA are excited to tell you about the very first Howard County - FREE - Virtual 50+ Employment Expo on Thursday, May 30, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.! Click HERE to register.

The employment expo is for ALL age 50+ jobseekers. Registration is FREE but you MUST register at HowardExpo.AccessJCA.org to participate.

The May 30, 2024 Free Virtual 50+ Employment Expo successfully links employers with job seekers age 50+ in a fun, informative, and mutually beneficial way. If you are age 50 or better job seeker, you won't want to miss this Expo!

On the day of the Expo, jobseekers, join us from 10 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. for the two morning workshops

  • 10:15 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Resumes & Interviews Tips and Strategies
  • 11:00 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. Using LinkedIn to End Your Job Search, Execute a Career Pivot, Pursue Entrepreneurship or Become a Subject Matter Expert.

Then, from noon to 3 p.m.- network and virtually meet 15 employers hiring 50+ jobseekers like yourself. Register today at HowardExpo.AccessJCA.org.

At Noon, hear from 15 area employers who hire age 50+ jobseekers! They will talk about their company and openings and answer questions that jobseekers place in Chat during their presentation. After their presentation, they will join Chat to answer any remaining and new questions - they will respond directly to the person who asked them the question. It is a great way for employers and jobseekers to connect!
