Police Say Missing Silver Spring Woman Found Safe

SILVER SPRING, MD — Montgomery County officials say Sandra Lee Bender has been located and is safe.


(Original post) SILVER SPRING, MD — The Montgomery County Police Department is asking for the public's help in finding a missing Silver Spring woman.

Sandra Lee Bender, 51, was last seen leaving the Regency Care of Silver Spring facility, located at 9101 Second Ave., with a friend around 1:30 p.m. on Sunday. The pair, authorities said, left in a green Ford conversion van with Maryland tags: 4CM5028.

Investigators describe Bender as a 5-foot-1, 125-pound female with brown eyes and brown hair.

Anyone who sees the vehicle she was traveling in, or knows about her whereabouts, should call the police at 301-279-8000.
