Mom's Organic Market Sets Opening Date For MoCo Store
The newest MOM's Organic Market will open its downtown Silver Spring store later this month, the Rockville-based grocery chain said.
SILVER SPRING, MD — The newest MOM's Organic Market will open its downtown Silver Spring store on Friday, Sept. 20, the Rockville-based grocery chain said.
Shoppers can find the new MOM’s Organic Market at 8789 Georgia Ave.
Hours will be Monday-Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The chain touts its variety of organic produce, along with a gluten-free section, vegan foods, sustainable seafood, and organic meats.

- Sustainable seafood: MOM's Organic Market said it is the only grocery store in the country to offer 100% sustainable seafood, including canned tuna.
- Variety of bulk grocery and body care items
- Health and wellness section: including organic vitamins and supplements, CBD, and clean beauty products.
- Extensive recycling program for customers: The store will accept cell phones, tablets, compost, eyeglasses, and corks and hold annual recycling drives for denim and holiday lights.
Founded in 1987, MOM's Organic Market has stores in six states — including Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia — and employs more than 1,000 people.
Other Maryland stores are located in Bowie, College Park, Frederick, Gaithersburg, Hampden, Jessup, Rockville, Timonium, Waldorf and White Marsh.
The grocery store will anchor the Atwell on Spring mixed-use apartment complex, located at the former Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission headquarters, Source of the Spring reported.
