Montgomery Co. Reports 62 New Coronavirus Cases, 3 More Deaths

As of June 22, Montgomery County has 14,141 coronavirus cases and 683 deaths.

SILVER SPRING, MD — Montgomery County on Monday recorded 62 new coronavirus infections and three additional fatalities, bringing its total to 14,141 cases and 683 deaths.

Another 40, health officials believe, had COVID-19 but died without ever getting tested. "Probable deaths," as they're called, aren't included in the official fatality count until they are confirmed by a laboratory test.

Monday's addition comes less than 72 hours after the county entered phase two of its reopening plan. That involved lifting more coronavirus restrictions on non-essential businesses and gatherings.
