Montgomery Co. Substitute Teacher Arrested For Sex With Student: Police
The assistant football coach and substitute teacher at Montgomery Blair High School was arrested for having sex with a 16-year-old student.

SILVER SPRING, MD — The assistant football coach and substitute teacher at Montgomery Blair High School has been arrested for having a sexual relationship with a juvenile female student, Montgomery County Police said.
Cory Boatman, 27, of Wheaton was employed as the assistant football coach and a substitute teacher for Montgomery County Public Schools when he allegedly had relations with a 16-year-old student.
Detectives began investigating the report that Boatman was engaging in a sexual relationship with a Montgomery Blair High School student on Sept. 22. Boatman allegedly began sending the student suggestive text messages in early August. Later that month, he allegedly picked the victim up at her home and drove her to his home, where they engaged in sexual intercourse, police said. The victim told investigators that she knew Boatman from his employment at the high school.

Boatman was charged with sexual abuse of a minor Oct. 6. He turned himself into detectives and was transported to the Central Processing Unit, police said. Detectives are requesting that parents of students who may have had contact with Boatman talk to their children about their interactions with him and contact Special Victim Investigators Division at 240-773-5400 if they believe their child was victimized.
