Reforming standardized testing among its students, Maryland schools will administer the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers exams to assess college and career preparedness. The tests are computer-based and measure critical thinking, communication, problem solving and other skills that translate to a success on the job and in higher education programs.
These exams will replace the current statewide test, the Maryland School Assessment, and will be administered to students statewide in spring 2015.
