Murder Suspect Arrested In November 2023 Montgomery Shooting

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD — A second suspect has been arrested in connection with the November 2023 shooting death of Orlando Alexander Satz Jr. in Montgomery County, police said.

De’Shaun McCrimmon, 22, has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of Satz, authorities said Tuesday.

In June, police charged Jose Ramon Ventura with accessory after the fact for driving two people believed to be responsible for fatally shooting Satz. The victim died after crashing his car into a parked vehicle on Spruell Drive, police said.

Neighbors who heard the crash removed Satz from the car and provided aid until paramedics responded. Rescuers saw apparent gunshot wounds to Satz's body.

On Aug. 24, detectives obtained a warrant for McCrimmon’s arrest, charging him with first-degree murder. He was arrested Aug. 27 in Silver Spring, and is being held at the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit awaiting a bond hearing.
