Police Investigating Multiple Auto Thefts In Silver Spring Area

Montgomery County detectives have released surveillance video of a suspect and are asking for the public's assistance in identifying him.

On Feb. 10, at approximately 3:20 a.m., detectives said residential surveillance video captured a suspect in the 700 block of Pebblestone Court checking vehicle door handles to see if the vehicles were unlocked.

SILVER SPRING, MD — The Montgomery County detectives continue to investigate multiple attempted auto thefts that occurred last month in the Silver Spring area.

Detectives have released surveillance video of the suspect and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying him.

On Feb. 10, at approximately 3:20 a.m., detectives said residential surveillance video captured a suspect in the 700 block of Pebblestone Court checking vehicle door handles to see if the vehicles were unlocked.

Additional vehicles in a surrounding block had been entered and ransacked. Investigators said they believe that the same suspect was involved.

Anyone with information regarding this suspect is asked to call the 4th District Patrol Investigation Unit at 240-773-5476.
