Police Seek Suspect In Attempted Taxi Robbery In Silver Spring
Police are searching for a suspect who attempted to rob a taxi driver in Silver Spring.

SILVER SPRING, MD — Police are searching for a suspect who attempted to rob a taxi driver in Silver Spring.
Detectives say a Bardwood taxi driver picked up a man at the Silver Spring Metro Station in the early morning of Feb. 24.
The suspect asked the driver to take him to a 7-Eleven store and then a home in the 13900 block of Castle Blvd., police said.

When they arrived to Castle Boulevard, the suspect allegedly exited the cab, threatened the taxi driver and demanded money.
The suspect fled from the taxi without obtaining any currency and was last seen on foot toward the 14000 block of Castle Blvd.

Investigators later determined that the suspect also stole items from the 7-Eleven store.
Anyone with information regarding this suspect or this attempted robbery is asked to call police at 240-773-5100. Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest in this case.
