When news of al-Qaida's leader Osama bin Laden being killed was confirmed by President Obama, Americans ran out to the White House in D.C. and ground zero in New York to celebrate. In front of the White House people wore the American flag and patriotically chanted "USA"! This image of American was plastered across screens all of the world.  Was this the most appropriate thing for Americans to do? Were they celebrating the death of  bin Laden or the symbolic meaning behind his death?
