Police Release Composite Sketch of Attempted-Rape Suspect

Update, 10:45 a.m.: Montgomery County Police Crimes Division Detectives created a composite sketch of the suspect Tuesday with the help of the victim, according to an official release. 

The male suspect is described as a Hispanic male standing 5-feet, 6-inches tall and weighing about 185 pounds. He may appear to be between 38 to 40 years old. He was wearing a long-sleeve gray shirt and black jeans at the time.

Detectives ask that anyone who may have information about this crime to please call 240-773-5070.

Original Post, Oct. 3: Montgomery County Police is asking the public for help to find a man involved in an attempted rape Sunday. 

At about 10:24 p.m., police responded to a call on the 9400 block of Saybrook Avenue, according to an official police release.

An initial investigation revealed that an attempted rape occurred inside the residence of a 56-year-old woman around 6:30 p.m. During the evening while she was in her kitchen, the suspect entered through a screen door opening. The male suspect approached her from behind, threw her down on the kitchen floor and attempted to remove her clothing.  

He eventually fled through the side-door entrance after she struggled with him.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male standing 5-feet, 6-inches tall and weighing about 185 pounds. He may appear to be between 38 to 40 years old. He was wearing a long-sleeve gray shirt and black jeans at the time.
