Second Victim Accuses Silver Spring Massage Therapist Of Sex Assault

A second victim reported to police that she was also sexually assaulted by a massage therapist from Silver Spring.

SILVER SPRING, MD — A second victim reported to police that she was also sexually assaulted by a massage therapist at a Tenleytown Massage Envy.

Habtamu Gebreslassie, 24, of Silver Spring, Md. was charged Sunday with first-degree sexual abuse when he allegedly performed oral sex on a client against her will.

Police said Wednesday that the second woman came forward and accused Gebreslassie of sexually abusing her while he was giving her a massage at the spa Aug. 28. She told police Gebreslassie placed his face "close to her vaginal area" and "touched her beyond the bikini line against her will."

Gebreslassie no longer works at the massage parlor at 4926 Wisconsin Ave. NW. According to court documents, Gebreslassie denied the accusations.

Massage Envy sent the following statement to The Washington Post:

“Massage Envy requires franchisees to complete extensive background screenings and reference checks and strictly enforce our Code of Conduct and Zero Tolerance Policy to ensure guests have a safe and professional experience when they visit a franchised location,” the statement said.
