Shepherd's Table Expands Food Program With Weekend Brunch

The Silver Spring-based nonprofit was recently awarded a grant from Bank of America to support brunch.

With the help of a grant, a Silver Spring nonprofit working to provide meals to homeless and hungry people in Montgomery County is expanding its food program to include brunch.

Shepherd's Table, which has provided meals to people in need for 29 years, recently began The Thierry Musel Brunch Program, serving brunch each Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:10 a.m. Bank of America announced that it awarded the organization a one-time $10,000 grant to help support the program. 

Shepherd's Table also provides a nightly meal each evening from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Bank of America extended grants to 12 other nonprofits in the Washington, DC area, the company said in a release.
