SILVER SPRING, MD — Officers were on the scene of a shooting Sunday evening in Silver Spring, according to police.

The incident, characterized by police as a "non-contact shooting," occurred around 6:40 p.m. in the area of Easecrest Drive, Montgomery County police said in a social media post.
