Silver Spring College Student Travels To Ireland During Spring Break
A Shenandoah University student from Silver Spring recently traveled to Ireland as part of the school's Global Citizenship Project.

SILVER SPRING, MD — Connor Crotzer of Silver Spring was part of a group of Shenandoah University students, faculty and staff to travel to Ireland recently as part of the school's Global Citizen Project, according to a Merit News release.
Doing the weeklong trip, the SU group took a walking tour of Dublin; visited the National Gallery, Titanic Belfast (a museum located at the site where the RMS Titanic was built) and Guinness Storehouse. They also attended the city's St. Patrick's Day.
The SU group also toured Clonmacnoise, Kylemore Abbey, the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren. In addition, they visited Bunratty Castle and Folk Park, an old fortress on the Rock of Cashel, and EPIC, the Irish Emigration Museum.

Since 2005, about 1,000 members of the SU community have traveled to 68 countries as part of the the Global Citizenship Project. After going through an application process, a committee chooses which students, faculty, staff and trustees will be traveling during spring break as part of the project.
