Silver Spring College Students Earn Degrees From Their Schools

SILVER SPRING, MD — To shine a light on their academic achievements, Patch shares information provided by Merit News about students from the Silver Spring area who earned a degree or graduated at the end of the spring 2023 term.

Clotilde Kengni of Silver Spring earned a master of science in nursing degree from Wilkes University, during the Pennsylvania school's 76th spring commencement ceremonies on May 20.

Ifeyinwa Nwokike of Silver Spring earned a doctor of nursing practice degree from Wilkes University, during the Pennsylvania school's 76th spring commencement ceremonies on May 20.

Samantha Marzi of Silver Spring earned a master of science in nursing degree from Wilkes University, during the Pennsylvania school's 76th spring commencement ceremonies on May 20.

Jhenny Philemond of Silver Spring graduated with a master of science degree in nursing - family nurse practitioner from Regis College during the May 6 commencement exercises. Philemond was among more than 1,300 students who received degrees ranging from associate to doctoral levels.

Sierra Ashley of Silver Spring graduated May 6 during the commencement ceremony for Missouri Valley College in Marshall, Missouri. Ashley, who majored in exercise science, was one of 218 graduates at MVC this spring.

Aishwarya Sridhar of Silver Spring recently graduated from University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Kentucky.

Erica Nicole Taylor of Silver Spring was among the more than 7,000 students who recently participated in commencement exercises as members of the University of Georgia's Class of 2023. Taylor earned a doctor of philosophy degree in health promotion and behavior.

John Shea Carey of Silver Spring was among the more than 7,000 students who recently participated in commencement exercises as members of the University of Georgia's Class of 2023. Carey earned a bachelor of business administration degree in risk management and insurance.

Caroline Elizabeth Via of Silver Spring was among the more than 7,000 students who recently participated in commencement exercises as members of the University of Georgia's Class of 2023. Via earned a bachelor of business administration degree in marketing.
