'Soh Koh' Street Gang Members Charged In 1994 Shooting In Silver Spring
Four members of the criminal street gang So Koh are charged with attempted murder for a 1994 shooting in Silver Spring.

SILVER SPRING, MD — Four men with ties to the criminal street gang So Koh have been charged with attempted murder and conspiracy to commit murder for a 1994 shooting in Silver Spring.
Montgomery County Police say the four men attempted to murder three victims during a shooting in the 8500 block of Piney Branch Rd. on June 21, 1994. The men were allegedly associated with So Koh, a gang that was active in Maryland during the 1990s, police said.
Police have charged: Hiey Hieu Vo, 42, of Silver Spring; Kha Ngoc Do, 43, of Silver Spring; Nhan V. Bui, 44, of an unconfirmed address; and Phuoc V. Phan, 43, of an unconfirmed address.

Several members of the So Koh gang are wanted for the January 12, 1997 homicides of Hiek Chug and Chai Tan in Silver Spring, police said. Chug and Tan were murdered at the King's Kitchen Chinese Carryout at 9224 Warren St.
Phan and Do are currently incarcerated in the Montgomery County Detention Center on these charges. Bui is serving a sentence for unrelated charges in the Federal Correctional Institution in Petersburg, Va.
