Two MoCo Coronavirus Test Sites Move This Week Amid Extreme Heat
Testing sites in White Oak and Wheaton have been relocated this week amid temperatures in the high 90s.
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD — Two drive-thru coronavirus testing sites in Montgomery County have been relocated this week as temperatures reach the high 90s.
In a release on Monday, the county announced testing sites in White Oak and Wheaton have been moved to cooler areas.
This week, the site usually located at the White Oak Vehicle Emissions Inspection Program will instead be located at 1700 April Lane in White Oak. Further, the site has temporarily changed from a drive-thru testing location to a walk-up site.

The clinic's hours are 8 a.m. to noon.
The testing site usually held at the Montgomery County Amherst parking garage in Wheaton on Wednesdays and Fridays has also been relocated.

The Wheaton site this week will be located in the parking garage beneath the Wheaton Library and Community Recreation Center. It will provide testing from 8 a.m. to noon.
The temporary Wheaton site at 11701 Georgia Avenue will remain a drive-thru clinic, the press release stated.
The county also said the pop-up testing site at the East County Recreation Center in Silver Spring will be held as usual on Tuesday with testing hours from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Walk-ups are allowed, but those hoping to get tested are encouraged to make appointments in advance.
