Walgreens In White Oak Shopping Center To Close: Report

SILVER SPRING, MD — Next month, the Walgreens store located at 11215 New Hampshire Ave. Suite A in the White Oak Shopping Center in Silver Spring will be closing its doors next month, according to a report from the MoCo Show.

The New York Times, citing a former Walgreen pharmacist involved in organizing protest efforts, reported 25 stores closed in November in New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Florida, Texas and Illinois. A Walgreens statement obtained by the outlet countered that source's assessment of the situation, saying that only three pharmacies closed and "no more than a handful of pharmacists" walked out.

The exact date of the closing was not available, but a representative told the MoCo show the store would close "next month."
