Suspect On The Loose In Woman's Shooting Death
A suspect remains on the loose in the shooting that happened Thursday in the Fairland area of Montgomery County, police said.

FAIRLAND, MD — Authorities are searching for a suspect in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred in Montgomery County on Thursday night.
According to police, officers and first responders were called to the 3000 block of Memory Lane in Fairland around 5:40 p.m. after receiving a call about a shooting.
When police arrived, they found 54-year-old Sarahi Concepcion Aragon-Cruz suffering from a gunshot wound. First responders attempted to aid Aragon-Cruz, but she died at the scene, police said.

Investigators later learned that a male suspect, who was known to Sarahi, shot her during an argument inside the home and left the scene.
Detectives are actively searching for the suspect, whom police did not identify.

Aragon-Cruz's body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore, which will determine the official cause and manner of death.
