Another Walgreens Is Closing In This MA City
The closure is just the latest for the company, which closed roughly 500 locations earlier this year.
MASSACHUSETTS — Walgreens, the national pharmacy chain, will close another Massachusetts location this year.
The Codman Square Walgreens, in Dorchester, would close on Sept. 10, the company announced on its website. It's the second location to close in Dorchester this year.
This latest closure comes after nine in Massachusetts were announced earlier this year, and about 500 across the country.

Walgreens isn't the only pharmacy chain facing challenges in recent years, as Rite Aid has seen its Massachusetts footprint continue to shrink.
In June, locals discovered that the chain would only have three locations left in the state after a store was set to close in Clinton.
Residents learned in May that all locations in the state would either be sold or closed, which has come with a slow rollout of closures across stores in the state.
