Beloved Bar To Celebrate Allston Christmas With $1 Hot Dogs
Forget Christmas in July. For Bostonians, the second Christmas comes in August. Here's why.

ALLSTON, MA — This Allston Christmas, one local bar is helping residents fuel, refuel and celebrate big finds.
Allston Christmas is named for the plethora of furniture and other household goods left on the curb on Aug. 31, one day ahead of when most leases in Boston reset on Sept. 1.
Opening early on Aug. 31, the bar will be decked in Yuletide décor complete with an inflatable Santa dancing in the wind atop the roof, officials said.

Perhaps most importantly for those hoping to score big this year are cheap food options to refuel after lugging a new couch home.
The bar’s signature “Sil Dogs” – all-beef franks nestled in their buns with the option to top them with ketchup, mustard, and relish – will be available for only $1 per hot dog with the purchase of a boozy beverage.
