MASSACHUSETTS — Shields Health Care, which provides imaging services to health care facilities, says a recent data breach may have affected 56 facilities and their patients.
Shields was alerted on March 28 of "suspicious activity" on its network and immediately launched an investigation, the health care group said in a statement. Their investigation found that someone had accessed their systems and acquired data that could include the full names, social security numbers and medical information of their patients.
