MA Got 2 Nice Consolation Prizes In Historic Powerball Jackpot

The nearly $700 million Powerball jackpot didn't land in Massachusetts, but a couple $1 million prizes did.

Monday night's jackpot was the richest since a $731.1 million jackpot was won on a Maryland ticket in January.

The nearly $700 million Powerball jackpot didn't land in Massachusetts. But the Bay State got a couple nice consolation prizes.

Two $1 million winning tickets were sold here for Monday night's drawing. One ticket was purchased at Bradford Mobil Mart in Haverhill and the other at Quality Gas & Mart in Seekonk. Both stores get a $10,000 bonus for the sales.

One ticket sold in California won the $699.8 million jackpot ($496 million cash option), the fifth-largest Powerball prize in history.
