MA Seeing More Haze, Unhealthy Air From Wildfires

The state's air quality alert means pollution in the air over Massachusetts has reached unhealthy levels.

MASSACHUSETTS — The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection issued a second air quality alert in as Many weeks as haze from the west coast wildfires blanketed the region Monday.

The air quality alert is in effect until 7 p.m. Tuesday and means pollution in the air has reached unhealthy levels. Local, state and federal health officials are recommending people avoid prolonged, outdoor activities. People with asthma should keep quick-relief medicine handy.
