MA Winter Storm: Latest Snowfall Totals, Timeline
A winter storm warning has been issued for much of the state, as the latest forecasts call for heavy snow and ice.

MASSACHUSETTS — Spring may have tested the waters this week, but winter will remind Massachusetts who's still in charge on Friday.
A winter storm warning has been issued everywhere but the South Shore and Cape Cod, which are under a winter storm watch, from 12 a.m. Friday to 12 a.m. Saturday. The National Weather Service says snow will start falling before dawn on Friday, gathering 1-2 inches per hour during the morning commute.
The latest forecasts call for 8-12 inches of snow north of the Mass Pike, while precipitation will change to the wintry mix south of the highway. Snowfall could reach up to 8 inches on parts of the South Shore and up to 4 inches on the Cape.

But the NWS cautions there are still some question marks in its forecast. This includes when the snow will change to a wintry mix, whether the state is in for another bout of snow Friday evening, and where there is the potential for flash freezing.
