Powerball Prize Swells, Now 8th-Largest In Lottery History
There was no jackpot winner in Saturday night's drawing, but a ticket sold at a downtown Boston convenience store won $1 million.

The Powerball jackpot has swelled to the eighth-largest prize is U.S. lottery history, and residents in Massachusetts and beyond will test their luck again Monday night.
The jackpot is for an estimated $685 million; the cash option is an estimated $485.5 million. It would be the sixth-highest Powerball prize in the game's history.
Monday night's prize would also be the richest since a $731.1 million jackpot was won on a Maryland ticket. It will be the 41st Powerball drawing since June 5's jackpot hit for $285.6 million in Florida.

In 2017, Mavis Wanczyk of Springfield made history in winning the $758.7 million jackpot — the third-highest prize ever and most ever won on a single ticket. (The lottery initially said the winning ticket was bought at a Watertown convenience store before saying it was actually in Chicopee.)
