Should Massachusetts Mask Up Again? Take Patch's Survey

MASSACHUSETTS — As the delta variant spurs a sharp increase in COVID-19 cases across the country, federal officials have recommended masks in some public places. The CDC is also calling for universal masking in K-12 schools.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends residents in counties reporting high or substantial spread of the coronavirus wear masks indoors, even if fully vaccinated. That accounts most Massachusetts counties, according to CDC data.

Many retailers across the state have recently updated their mask rules, requiring them for even vaccinated employees and, in some cases, for all customers. So far, however, Gov. Charlie Baker has been cool to the idea of bringing back a statewide mask mandate.

So Patch is asking readers what they think about wearing masks. Should the state implement a new mask mandate? Should even those who are vaccinated mask up indoors? Should Massachusetts schools require masks?
