Arlington Arts Center Holds Immigration-themed Exhibition
Welcome Home is a diverse collection of works that will be on display through mid-March.

ARLINGTON, MA — The Arlington Center for the Arts currently has a unique exhibition on display through Wednesday, March 19.
Welcome Home includes a diverse collection of paintings, sculptures, and photography all based on the theme of American immigration and trying to adjust in an unfamiliar space.
The display first launched on Thursday, Jan. 16 at the Center’s Shaira Ali Gallery on 20 Academy St. The Center describes the works as celebrations of the “experiences, struggles, and triumphs” of people finding a sense of belonging in an unfamiliar land and culture.

“I have been deeply inspired by the stories behind each artwork, which are
shared with the viewers of this exhibition,” Exhibit Curator and Interim Chief of Arts and Culture Kenny Mascay said. “My hope is that visitors will find their own reflections in these stories, gaining a deeper appreciation for the contributions of immigrants to the tapestry of American life. Welcome to our home.”
The exhibit is part of the Arlington250: Untold Stories of Menotomy Celebration that highlights Arlington’s historical significance in the American Revolution.
