Arlington Bike Path Receives Multiple Artistic Additions

The town's Arts and Culture Commission led the creation of three murals.

ARLINGTON, MA — The Arlington Commission for Arts and Culture have completed three artistic murals along the Minuteman Bikeway.

The murals were each installed along three bridges on the bikeway between Arlington Center and Arlington Heights. The project was led by Commissioner Laurie Bogdanas as she supervised the creation of three artworks.

The town expressed gratitude to the artists who crafted the murals including Kathy and Maria Lobo, Renee Majkut, and Raksha Amrit Soni. The paintings can be found at the Forest Street Bridge, Ryder Street Bridge, and Brattle Street Bridge, respectively.

“The goal of the project was to bring a pop of color to the Minuteman Bikeway that would be enjoyed by all ages,” the town said in a statement. “On average the Bikeway is used by 1,250 people daily.”
