Arlington Business Receives Grant To Further Eco-conscious Efforts
Recirclable partners with local restaurants to provide them with reusable takeout containers as opposed to single-use ones.
ARLINGTON, MA — Recirclable LLC is a recipient of a grant of up to $70,000 through the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection’s Recycling and Reuse Business Development Grant Program.
Recirclable partners with local restaurants to provide them with reusable takeout containers as opposed to single-use ones. The RBDG Program invests in businesses that it feels maximizes the preservation and longevity of valuable resources and materials. Recirclable falls into the processing grant category, which supports projects that reuse or process certain materials. Grant recipients must create a measurable economic impact for the state with the funds they receive.
“Investing in waste diversion is a powerful and important strategy for reducing greenhouse gas emissions,” MassDEP Commissioner Bonnie Heiple said. “By supporting businesses and projects that extend material life and reduce new resource demand, Massachusetts is building a sustainable infrastructure that will significantly cut carbon emissions, equivalent to removing 1.7 million metric tons of carbon dioxide.”
