Arlington Restaurant Giving Free Meals To Struggling Customers
One restaurant is helping residents who have been laid off or are struggling to provide food during the coronavirus shutdown.
ARLINGTON, MA — An Arlington restaurant is giving out free meals to residents who have been laid off or are struggling to provide food during the coronavirus pandemic. Rangla Punjab is inviting customers to place a takeout order daily between 3:30 and 5 p.m. and receive a free meal for themselves or their family, Wicked Local reported.
The restaurant is new to the Arlington community, opening just a month before the shutdown. Mandeep Sandhu, who runs Rangla Punjab with his brother, told Wicked Local that people do not have to prove they lost their job due to the shutdown. The restaurant is making a surplus of its regular orders, so customers just need to let them know the number of people who will be eating.
Free meals are also being offered at Rangla Punjab's other restaurants in Brookline and Quincy.
