New Restaurant Opens New Year's Eve in Arlington

French cuisine is finding a new home on Massachusetts Avenue.

ARLINGTON—Arlington's newest restaurant is opening up with a New Year's Eve dinner and Jazz Bar Party, ringing in 2017 with Bouillabaisse and cocktails. The long-awaited spot is located at 190 Massachusetts Avenue, and will open for dinner on Dec. 31 from 5 p.m. to midnight, with drinks flowing until 1:30 p.m.

The bar will feature wines from small estate European wine makers and French herbal liqueurs. Start off the night with moules (blue mussels, pernod and fennel steamed), fill up on Terrine Paysanne (pork and duck, herbs, port wine, grilled sourdough). With the weather at slightly brisk 38 degrees, warm up with Ratatouille, and satisfy your sweet tooth with Profiterole (chocolate, peanut butter pastry cream, banana froth).

Tina Gallo Silberman is an Arlington resident who explores local cuisine with her husband. Although she isn't attending the opening event, Silberman has a reservation for later this month. She told Patch, "We were sad to see Flora go and are hopeful that Bistro Duet will be a wonderful addition to the dining options in Arlington."
