‘Significant Water Damage’ Impacts Arlington Town Hall
Officials said rain seeping through the Town Hall clock tower during recent storms was to blame for damage in the Lyons Hearing Room.

ARLINGTON, MA — Recent rain left “significant water damage” inside Arlington’s Town Hall, prompting officials to close one of the building’s meeting rooms until further notice, the town announced on Tuesday.
Water leaking from the Town Hall’s clock tower is believed to be to blame, officials said. The town, as a result, is considering plans for long-term repairs.
The town of Arlington shared a photo of water damage, showing discoloration and peeling paint on the ceiling of the Lyons Hearing Room in Town Hall.
