Special One-Day Collection of Christmas Trees Saturday

Recycling center will be open from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Jan. 9.

ARLINGTON, MA - The town’s Department of Public Works recycling center offers one Saturday morning a month to drop-off hard-to-recycle materials, such as bulky rigid plastic and foam packaging. This month’s drop-off will be held Saturday, Jan. 9.

The center also offers collection of books and textiles for reuse through donation to nonprofits. While it will accept e-waste at the new recycling center, residents are reminded that electronic waste is collected at DPW during our regular business hours.

Due to public interest in keeping trees up longer, DPW will host a special collection of Christmas Trees on Saturday, Jan. 9 from 9 a.m. to noon. Residents with ID can drop off their Christmas tree at 51 Grove St., and the Town will take care of the extra transportation and composting costs required.
