TOP NOTCH ARTISTS AT 2015 SMARTS SUMMER INSTITUTE
The SMARTS Summer Institute, now in its 29th year, offers young people an opportunity to explore their creative potential with some of the areas top notch artists. These dynamic and dedicated artists provide training through process and performance in creative writing, dance, drama, film/video, instrumental, vocal, and visual arts. Some of our artists include musician Seth Antonitis of The Rhythm Room, published playwright/author Pete Tarsi, and actress/director Head of Boston College High School Drama Department, Janet O’Hare.
“Experiences in the arts are a sure fire way for young people to discover their strengths, develop self-esteem, critical thinking and problem solving skills, and have a blast of a summer,” says Sherye Weisz, executive director of the SMARTS Collaborative.
