ATTLEBORO, MA — The man who was convicted of stealing Giants Super Bowl rings from an Attleboro jewelry store 15 years ago has been arrested again, officials told ABC6.
Sean Murphy, 58, violated his probation by posing as a homeless veteran gathering donations for a fake charity, the Bristol County District Attorney said Wednesday.
Murphy was sentenced to 18 months in state prison for the probation violation and is facing new charges of stolen valor and fraudulently representing a military and larceny under $1,200 by false pretense, officials said, according to ABC6.

In 2008, Murphy and two others broke into E.A. Dion in Attleboro and stole gold and the Super Bowl rings, which were eventually recovered, the outlet reported.
