Pedestrian Killed on Attleboro Train Tracks: Transit Police
Transit Police say the man, in his 30s, was walking on the commuter rail tracks late on Christmas Eve.
ATTLEBORO, MA — A man believed to be in his 30s was struck and killed by a train while walking on the commuter rail tracks near Main Street late Christmas Eve, MBTA Transit Police reported Saturday night.
According to Transit Police, the death was reported around 10 p.m., and the victim was subsequently pronounced dead. Transit Police say the man was on the tracks when he was hit by an outbound commuter rail train in the area of 700 Main Street.
Transit Police say the victim was a man, estimated to be in his 30s. His identity has not yet been released.
